Naomi Campbell always ensured that her life was fully cleansed and socially distanced from Tyra Banks. #Stanitation pic.twitter.com/ksyi0QpE8F

some tyra moments:
– keenyah was putting on weight during the season, so she made keenyah an elephant (after making her "gluttony"
– she put brittany in blackface for a shoot
– seasons later put jennifer and the short girl cast in black/brownface
– yaya vs. the hat pic.twitter.com/i4XDxg3SsP— stan of cleves (@alex_abads) May 5, 2020
Here's my weird Tyra story: one of her producers reached out to me about doing an episode on STIs. After talking to me, they decided I wasn't tragic enough.

Growing up is realising that Tyra Banks was the villain and not Naomi

while danielle was made to feel ugly for her gap, 6/7 cycles laters tyra widened a white contestant’s gap because of how high fashion, unique and captivating it would be.
‘not marketable’ is tyra speak for hating dark skin girls. https://t.co/2ldlJChv7i

I don't think Naomi bullied Tyra, the way Tyra tells us. Naomi lives rent-free in Tyra's mind. Naomi minded her business and wasn't her friend, because Naomi was a high-fashion model vs. Tyra's commercial modeling. Naomi is the greatest supermodel of all time.

This was straight up anti-black lol also Yaya was ahead of the curve RE: the yeehaw agenda and if Tyra had an iota of taste or style she would see that the mixture of afrocentricity and cowboy aesthetics was subversive but noo. Tyra has never been high fashion! & that's on Naomi! https://t.co/w8SaXguSrm

Genuinely cannot believe how problematic Tyra Banks used to be. I used to love her and obsessed over Americans Next Top Model but now I'm looking back like pic.twitter.com/d9lAIBqRwZ

Black Twitter is slamming Tyra Banks with colorism accusations. They say she used America’s Next Top Model to exploit dark skinned women. Each season Tyra went on a rampage of unnecessarily severely altering potential model’s looks. Do you think making somebody get a permanent gap in their teeth makes Tyra psycho? What about making somebody pose in a coffin? Why is everybody coming from Tyra Banks? Do you think she hates her blackness? Did you know the same guy who wrote #BlackAF and Girl’s Trip, produced America’s Next Top Model?
All this hate and ‘crabs-n-a-bucket’ mentality could be stemming from Tyra’s genius investment project, Modelland. It’s an upcoming theme park in Santa Monica that is sure to set the world on fire! We could be getting our smize on now, if it weren’t for Covid 19.
“It’s my calling to bring modeling to the masses,” Banks told WWD, saying she’s been working on Modelland for 10 years. The park will be a 21,000-square-foot ticketed attraction with interactive entertainment, curated retail and user-generated content that can be shared, per WWD. But anyone can also come shop without a ticket. (Because . . . it’s in a mall, after all.) Modelland will open later this year.
“It’s a permanent attraction anchoring the mall,” Banks added. “I’m inspired by Disneyland, a place I went to a lot as a child. There is a story line I have been working on for a year. Anybody can enter and feel like a model.”
